Dream Comes True

I still remembered the time I fell in love with wabbit. It started with two very cute little wabbits (Nata & Coco) that I begged my beloved hubby to buy at Takada flea market. I learned amazing facts about wabbits by raising them. That was when I found Wabbits fascinating.

Then, I came across a website showing pictures of different breeds of wabbits. Suddenly, the idea of having Holland Lop, Netherland Dwarf and Lion Head wabbits made me really excited. However, I realized that such wabbits are very rare in Sabah.

With a little hope, I did some research related to pedigreed wabbits and tried to find breeder who is willing to export them to Sabah. Luckily, I had good feedback from some of the well known breeders in Peninsular Malaysia. After making an agreement to one of the breeder, I decided to have a pair of Holland Lop (Broken Tort doe & Solid Tort buck) and Red-Eyed White Lionhead Doe.

The process of bringing them to Tawau began. I had to apply for import permit from Department of Veterinary Services and Animal Industry at KK (thanks to my sister) and dealt with Customs Department. The other procedures of exporting them were managed by the breeder at Selangor.

Finally, everything was set. On 19 February, exactly at 2.15 pm I waited nervously for them at Tawau Mas Kargo. After signing some paperwork, the wabbits were then released by the customs officer around 3 o'clock. I thought I could die in happiness at the sight of those three beautiful creatures!

My hubby and I brought them home. I followed the instructions given by the breeder carefully so that the wabbits would settle down quickly and adapt to the new environment. Now, it has been three weeks already and all of them are doing just fine ^_^

Thank you B Berry Rabbitry for letting me have these adorable bunnies.
